We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help you make your first experience at OWC a great one.

Oakland Worship Center is a non-denominational church that aspires to provide a welcoming, relaxed community where people can be seen, be known and be encouraged. We practice a simple philosophy of helping people know God, discover self, serve others and share hope. All are welcome to participate in this “Worship Journey.”
Our Sunday services are relaxed, friendly and typically 90 minutes. The service will begin with music followed by a practical, easy to understand teaching from the bible. Somewhere in there we also manage to have a little fun.
As our guest, you’re not expected to give in any offering. That decision is totally up to you. You are welcome to join in God’s work at Oakland Worship Center when you feel you’re ready.
Our desire is that you come to know the Love of God, the hope that is in Jesus and that you would share that love and hope with someone else.
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out a church and be anonymous for a while—and that’s fine with us! Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, meet some amazing people and see if Oakland Worship Center is the church for you.
There is no specific dress code at Oakland Worship Center. You’ll find everything from jeans and flip flops to business suits and dress shoes. We encourage you to wear what is comfortable for you.
Children’s church takes place simultaneously with the morning service. Children’s Church is ages 5-12, with age-appropriate bible lessons and loads of Fun!
Kids 13 and over attend the main service. When they are ready, we incorporate them into the service and help them begin their own “Worship Journey”.
